Matt has a passion for spurring innovation in government and is a leader in Indy’s civic tech movement. As a Senior Consultant at KSM Consulting, he works closely with municipal, state, and federal agencies to improve how government shares, analyzes and applies data. Matt helped create and organize dozens of innovative data competitions including Indy Civic Hack Day – Indianapolis’s first open data hackathon, the IoT Civic Hack, the Indiana Medicaid Data Challenge, and the Healthy Mom + Baby Datapalooza. Cumulatively, these events produced hundreds of open datasets and provided training, funding, and networking opportunities for thousands of entrepreneurs and researchers.
