As the Chief Data Officer for Indiana Family Social Services Administration (FSSA), Dr. Norwood oversees the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) for FSSA, which houses the business information and data required to support all reporting and data analytics for Indiana’s health and human services including such programs as Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF. He completed his PhD in Health Policy and Management before transitioning into his current role with the State of Indiana. In his current role, Dr. Norwood’s vision is to apply enterprise-wide governance, build a culture of inquiry, and utilize data as an asset to inform business and policy decisions that have the power to impact population health and improve the lives of the people served by the State of Indiana.
