2020 State HIT Connect

Prior to modularization, State Medicaid agencies designed highly customized Payment Accuracy and Program Integrity solutions, which were unique to each state. The procurement strategy for these varied from being bundled into the MMIS procurement, bundled with other modules or issued as a standalone RFP.  Now that some states are farther along in their path to modularity, this session will provide critical feedback and address the successes and challenges each state has encountered on the path to modularity.  Speakers from all types of States, who have implemented or are in the process of implementing a module that includes these different frameworks, will share their experiences.  There is no one right answer but by better understanding, the reasoning behind an approach and by discussing any challenges during the implementation, audience members currently in the process of planning will be well equipped to make better and more informed decisions.
