2020 State HIT Connect

In this session, Delaware’s Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Secretary will share the agency’s approaches to developing roadmaps designed to enable timely, effective, secure data sharing across the organization’s many divisions and programs – Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, behavioral health and substance use treatment, child protective services, child support enforcement, child care and more. These roadmaps also lead to optimized future investments in health and human services IT, particularly in the data management and analytics domain. The roadmaps incorporate both strategic and tactical needs, reuse/leverage opportunities across divisions and agencies, the best use of local, state and federal funds, and all pertinent laws and regulations that govern access to, use and sharing of sensitive health and social services information.
