In response to CMS SSA Section 1940 requirements to deploy an electronic Asset Verification System (AVS), forward-thinking states are expanding their approach to combatting HHS eligibility Fraud, Waste and Abuse. These Office of Program Integrity (OPI) “front door” deterrents, deploy a wider variety of verification data sources and often incorporate sister agency data sharing.  Through the integration of data set utilization, program managers for Medicaid, Medical (LTCC), SNAP and TANF can share data access with Social Services (child support), Recovery (IG) and others.

Softheon, a new leader in the AVS technology, introduces VERIFY AVS, modularly- deployed, MITA-aligned, singularly integrated, technology solution. Verify is built to solve for today’s simple AVS requirements (hard and soft assets) on a singular platform and is easily configured for future data sets that might include citizenship/alien status, incarceration, duplicate SSN, duplicate applicant and out of state beneficiary recipient, to name a few.
