Often agencies find that they don’t know how to work together with a vendor to appraise work as it’s being done. In this round table 18F and our partners will share tools and tactics used in state and federal work to build collaborative relationships with vendors. Thoughtful management of development efforts allows agencies to set both themselves and their vendors up for success, make informed decisions, and track progress. We’ll use real-world examples to demystify the buzzwords (product ownership, DevOps, code review, MVP, sprint goals, traceability), discuss alternatives to report-based vendor management, and discuss how to spot and address when expectations aren’t met.
