The proposed CMS rules for Interoperability and Patient Access is driving the industry to achieve outcome-based business and program objectives through modularity, scalability and reusability of technology solutions. Recognizing the potential challenges and opportunities in the State Medicaid market, CNSI is leveraging Amazon Web Services to build an HL7® FHIR® open, standards-based API to boost data accessibility amongst consumers and payers. This emerging technology builds on existing industry data exchange API and provides secure access to information through any third-party application of choice as defined by the 21st Century Cures Act. Attendees will learn how interoperability and information access can empower consumers to adopt healthy behaviors, educate policy makers on the effects of social determinants, and help states improve overall population health.
