How can we develop a functional and flexible framework for measuring the return on investment (ROI) in Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) factors? Stakeholders have come together to align on the impact of social determinants in building stronger communities and lowering healthcare costs. But there’s still perceived risk in making investments in SDOH because of challenges with delivering interventions and measuring and tracking the outcomes they support. With a functional and flexible framework, stakeholders could measure ROI and identify interventions that produce the strongest outcomes.
In this session, we will focus on approaches to quantify direct and indirect stakeholder benefits to improve evaluation of social and economic impact. In addition, we will share a series of use cases for defining “value creation” and desired outcomes—laying the groundwork for a repeatable framework for determining value and cost-effectiveness of an intervention.
