Technical implementation of a modular, cloud-based Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) can be both complex and challenging if not managed appropriately. Implementations typically require integrating modules built with different technologies, hosted on different cloud or on-premise infrastructures, and with modules at different life cycle stages. On top of that, the implementations involve other considerations such as managing hundreds of data exchanges, implementing a secure environment, and executing a robust release management process.
